It starts with an initial consultation — either in our showroom or over the phone — where we review your project scope, materials, finishes, and hardware specs. From there, we can prepare a budget quote for you to review. Once approved, we schedule shop drawings, review materials and finishes, schedule site visits, and work toward sign-off on final shop drawings and final pricing. Most projects take a few weeks from the initial consultation to a final set of shop drawings and final pricing, depending on complexity. Because each piece is custom-built to order, lead times are longer than off-the-shelf cabinetry—typically 8–10 weeks from final quote and design approval to delivery and installation. Larger or multi-unit projects may require additional scheduling time. We recommend reaching out as early as possible in your renovation or build timeline.
JMV takes on projects of all sizes, from a single custom piece to full-home or office renovations, large commercial projects, and multi-family developments.
Design drawings or floor plans, inspiration photos, or existing measurements are helpful but not required to get started. If you have a designer, contractor, or architect involved, their contact info helps us coordinate directly. Most importantly, come with a sense of your budget range and timeline so we can guide you toward the right solutions from the start.
Our invoicing structure varies by project; however, most projects require a drawing deposit after the budget quote is accepted and before the shop drawing process. Please confirm with your JMV Project Manager what the invoicing terms will be on your project. We accept cash, cheque, and credit card — note that a 3.5% processing fee applies when paying by credit card.
